Kari Sam Wuhrer born on 28th April 1968 is an American Actress and Singer. She began her professional career as a teenager and is best famous for her character of Maggie Beckett in the television series Sliders as well as her role as the Sheriff Samantha Parker in the horror comedy film Eight Legged Freaks.Wuhrer was born in Brookfield, Connecticut, the daughter of Karin (nee Noble), an accountant for payroll, as well as German American Andrew Wuhrer, a police officer and auto salesman. There are three siblings. The singer was in her teens who performed in clubs, sneaking away from her family to do so. After studying acting at the Wooster School, at 13 years old, she was a drama student at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in Marymount Manhattan College and Columbia University. Then, she took classes at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts under renowned Uta Hagen. Born in Brookfield on April 28th in 1967. She is the daughter of an American-born father from Germany as well as a mother from Germany. Kari is the youngest of three siblings. When she was just an teen, she would perform in clubs by taking a break from home. Kari at the time was thirteen years old, was enrolled at the Wooster School as well as Tisch School of the Arts of New York University. She also attended drama classes in Columbia University, Marymount Manhattan College, Marymount Manhattan College College, plus The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art with a drama teacher known as Uta. Kari was introduced to acting at 13 and got her first big break in 1987 on MTV Remote Control.
